You can barely see the strawberry color at the back.   These two are the lipstick ladies.

I just love-love-love my new color, don't you?  It is the prettiest shade of.......hmmmm, I have asked and some say coral, flamingo pink, or strawberry.  I haven't named it, so anyone wanting to help me name it, drop me a post or vote.

I am leaning towards something with Strawberry in it......

Hi, I am Deborah Boyet, the owner of Shabby Chic Chalk Paints, a form of the chalk paint family that has minerals added.  With this additive your paint will level out creating a smooth finish and superior coverage and adhesion. Curing time is 2 to 7 days, depending on what purpose the finished piece of furniture is being used for.  Read the label or ask other paint brands/additives and see if they have this quality.  I also design and sell my own brand of soft wax.  The application is the same as the popular soft wax brand.  It comes in clear, white, and a dark grayish/brown color that is incredible.  This wax offers great protection, and a soft sheen. allowing the chalk look to show through.  I will show you more of what I offer in future posts.  I have a sample of the other soft wax brand and I intend to see how it stands up to mine.  It has the feel and protection of the other soft wax brand.

I have about 30 years experience in the art field as a fine artist.  This background has allowed me a great understanding of materials and how they work together.  I was unfortunate when brain tumor surgery left me without enough depth perception to continue to create fine art.  I looked for something to fill my creative outlet.  I found it creating my additive and wax.  I also take used furniture and give it a face-lift of sorts.  I am working on my color line too.

Did you know that Shabby Chic Chalk Paints has an additive that allows you to choose you favorite color of paint and turn it into a really awesome chalk/mineral paint?  You get to choose your own COLOR!!!   Follow the mixing directions and add to 1 quart of paint.

If you are new to chalk paint, you may not know that a lot of paint companies offer sample sizes.  Using these sample sizes will allow you to split up my additive so you will have 4 chalk paints colors instead of one expensive color.  That is a smart buy.  I have added directions on the package.

  I have been reading a lot of blogs and what I see is that everyone has a favorite.  Give mine a try.  I sell sample sizes of the additive.

Having been a fine artist for so many years that I know a lot about brushes, cleaning brushes, and other products.  I have  tried and true products for clean up of your brushes.  These products are green products but will take paint out of brushes even after they are dry.  Amazing!!!!  That strong professional painting gives me the ability to help you with questions.
